It’s time to review my year of travel, highlight all the incredible moments, and inspire your 2019 adventures. Here’s the travel recap of the first quarter of 2018:
Tokyo started off the year with amazing eats and discovery that Japan is a wonderful winter destination.
Here were the articles from Tokyo:
◦ 3 Best Department Stores & Depachika in Japan
◦ 6 Places for Food-Obsessed Travelers in Tokyo Station
◦ 5 Things to Do in Marunouchi
◦ History of Sukiyaki & the Best Sukiyaki in Tokyo

◦ Best Affordable Sushi in Tokyo: Standing Sushi Bar
◦ 5 Best Convenience Store Foods in Japan
◦ Japan Makes Everything Better – Even Bread
Any reason to go to Hong Kong is good enough for me. While I may not be Chinese, Chinese New Year in Hong Kong is a great cultural experience to witness.
Note: Do not go just for the fireworks, as the weather may likely be cloudy and rainy to dampen the celebration, or in the case of 2018 simply canceled.
Here were the articles from Hong Kong:
◦ Things to Do in Hong Kong this Chinese New Year Weekend
◦ 2 Nights & 3 Days in Hong Kong: A Detailed Itinerary for First-Time Visitors
◦ Authentic Napoletana Pizza at Ciao Chow Italian Cafeteria in Hong Kong
◦ Three Monkeys: Japanese Izakaya in Hong Kong
Springtime brought me back to the San Francisco Bay Area – a place I called home for 18 years. Trips back these days include nostalgic get-togethers and tourist days/weekend getaways.
Here were the articles from the Bay Area:
◦ 22 Oyster Happy Hour Deals in San Francisco for Every Day of the Week
◦ 14 Daily Happy Hour Deals in San Francisco
◦ All About Dandelion Chocolate Factory and Cafe in San Francisco
◦ Weekend Getaway from San Francisco: Sausalito Itinerary
