From New York to Tokyo – Ode the Original Location

After the success of Shake Shack’s first two locations in Tokyo, the third location opened just last year (September 2016) in the Tokyo International Forum, the capital’s largest convention center.

The indoor and outdoor terrace seating resembles Shake Shack’s original location in Madison Square Park in New York City. Best of all, the Shake Shack experience in Tokyo delivers the same excitement and satisfaction.

The third location of Shake Shack situates itself perfectly for locals in Marunouchi. It is also one block away from the Yurakucho Station and just a few blocks away from the Tokyo Station. For those in the Ginza area, it is also just a few blocks away. Convenient and ideal for everyone.

Plus, if you stay at The Peninsula Tokyo, it’s only 2 blocks away! (You can read about the hotel here)

The Classic Shake Shack Experience

The Shake Shack menu in Tokyo shares the same classic experience from New York. Your expectations of the burgers, hot dogs, and fries will not leave you at all disappointed. The meal is not fast-food affordable – you pay for the quality, the ambiance, and the local Tokyo pricing.

The entire menu is recognizable (with additional local beverages and desserts). Get ready to decide between the classic Shack Burger, Smoke Shack, Shroom Burger, Shack Stack, and or Shack-ago Dog. And of course, the decision between regular or small crinkle-cut fries that are plain or with cheese sauce. Overwhelming choices, but there is no wrong decision at Shake Shack.

The presentation along is already pure perfection. Every single order that comes out calls out for photos to be taken. Even the crinkle cut fries are perfect with the crisp, clean frying

Drinks & Desserts

A burger is not complete without your ideal choice of drink. You can enjoy the classic shakes or even locally flavored black sesame shakes. There are also lemonades, iced teas, and non-alcoholic refreshments. Then, of course, the beers – from Brooklyn Brewery Shackmeister Ale on tap, local Japanese beers on tap or bottled beers. Finally, if you love wine, you must try the Shack Red or Shack White which are exclusively bottled and labeled by Frog’s Leap Winery in Napa Valley.

Finally, end the perfect burgers with any of Shake Shack Japan’s three exclusive frozen custard concretes, including locally flavored Matcha Forum Blend with matcha marshmallow sauce and a location-specific Yurakucho Edition with chocolate custard, black sesame puree, peanut butter, Minimal dark chocolate chunks, and chocolate toffee.
