Where to Drink and Dine near Bangkok’s Grand Palace and Wat Pho: Sala Rattanakosin Eatery and Bar

Food Chronicles

Where to Dine for a Light Lunch or Sunset Drinks

Sightseeing in the Bangkok heat makes you crave for an ice-cold drink and a light meal to refresh and rejuvenate. Situated just a couple blocks from Bangkok’s famous temples and landmarks like the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, Sala Rattanakosin Eatery and Bar lets guests escape from the heat.

Getting to Sala Rattanakosin

Sala Rattanakosin is located right next to the Chao Phraya River next to Wat Pho. You can use the walking directions from Google Maps. When you see a commercial alley, you will spot the modern white building of Sala Rattanakosin. Walk down that alley and you will arrive at the hotel and restaurant. You can dine outside by the waterfront or inside with air conditioning on the 2nd floor.

Food and Drinks at Sala Rattanakosin Eatery and Bar

As Sala Rattanakosin is a hotel from the Sala hotel group around Thailand, the restaurant serves an international selection throughout the day. You can also find classic Thai dishes to satisfy your Thai food cravings. In line with the contemporary theme of the hotel, the presentation of the food modernizes itself from tradition

Thai cuisine is the best for a light, healthy lunch. With the sweltering heat of the city, you will crave cold drinks (like a lemongrass iced tea) and two or three plates. These dishes (pad thai, larb gai, and fried spring rolls) perfectly satisfy your Thai cravings
