Food Memories from Vietnam.

One of the best dishes from Vietnam is their iconic banh mi. These sandwiches are packed with flavor and freshness. Here is a flashback of photos from when I ate a few of these delicious sandwiches in Vietnam over 10 years ago:

Food Photo Chronicles: Banh Mi in Vietnam

banh miWalking through the Chau Doc Market during a 3-Day Mekong Delta Tour. I meant to capture this vendor with her pile of French bread for sale. This lovely local lady laughed with delight as she also caught me taking a photo of her eating some of the bread.

banh miLocal banh mi shops like from this location sell a wider variety of fillings for the sandwiches. If you have never tried one before, start with the classic Banh Mi Thit which is layered with ham, pork roll, pate, cilantro, carrots, radish, chili, mayonnaise, and fish sauce.
