Prices are constantly changing depending on the airlines, time of the year, passenger demand, competitor pricing, seasonality, major events, and so on. While there is no guaranteed formula or day of the week, there are ways that experienced travelers know how to book cheaper flights.
Flexibility with Dates & Schedule
Have flexibility with your travel dates and flight schedule. Most airlines and booking websites offer a glimpse of the prices for the week or month showing the cheaper days and times of the day to fly. Also note that off-season (weekdays, non-holidays, non-school breaks) offer cheaper prices.
Flexibility on Where to Go
Base your trip according to the cheaper destination. Popular destinations tend to have expensive flight prices because of more people wanting to go there. Consider less popular, yet equally attractive and beautiful, cities which offer far more affordable flight rates.
