Summer Travel: How to Stay Cool in the Heat

Summer Travel Tips to Beat the Heat.

Summer is here and temperatures are rising! Here are 6 summer travel tips to try to stay cool on your next vacation:

1. Loose Pants

Wear loose, breezy pants to let your legs breath. Tight pants will make you sweat and feel increasingly uncomfortable as the day goes on. Loose pants will let allow air to flow and help cool you down as you walk in the heat.

2. Change of Shirt

Sweat will be inevitable during the summer travel months. Bring an extra shirt or change of clothes if you plan to go somewhere nice at night.

3. Terry Cloth Handkerchief

Bring a handkerchief to help wipe off your sweat during the day – or even better, buy summer terry cloth handkerchiefs which really absorbs the sweat well.

4. Umbrella

In Western countries, umbrellas may not be common, but in Asian countries, it is a common sight during rainy and sunny days. Regardless of your destination, using an umbrella really helps create your own personal shade under the heat of the sun.

5. Hat

If you do not want to use an umbrella, at least wear a hat under the sun to protect your head, face, and eyes.

6. Sunglasses

Sunglasses are essential for any trip to protect the well-being of your eyes, especially under the harsh UV rays from the sun.

7. Water

Hydration is key during summer travel months. Drink water as often as possible, and bring a bottle of water with you during the day.
