Visiting the New Dandelion Chocolate Factory

From its factory and store location on Valencia Street, Dandelion Chocolate has expanded in both location and building size to this warehouse on 16th Street corner Alabama Street which has ample free street parking.

If you love chocolate, you have to make a stop at the new Dandelion Chocolate Factory where you can sample single origin chocolate bars, dine on special desserts, and even tour the factory.

About the New Dandelion Chocolate Factory in San Francisco

Opened just this past Spring 2019, the new Dandelion Chocolate Factory in San Francisco features a large warehouse space for more chocolate production. The factory has its shop for drinks, pastries, and chocolate products, its factory with tours and classes, and its salon restaurant.

Drinks & Pastries

As soon as you enter the door, you will step into the shop where you can sample chocolate, buy chocolate products, and line up for drinks and pastries. The chocolate samples are a great opportunity to really taste the different flavor profiles.

To avoid lines, it is best to go during the middle of the weekday when everyone is still at work. There are limited stool seats, so when it is crowded you may have to take your pastries to go and enjoy it elsewhere.

Brownie Bite Flight. One of the more popular dessert items. Each brownie is made with single origin chocolate so you can taste the distinct differences. Other popular items include the S’Mores and chocolate drinks.

Tours, Classes, Events

To make the most of your Dandelion experience, book a tour or class to see the whole factory. One hour tours and tastings start at $15. These must be booked ahead online as they sell out quickly. For more information and bookings, check out their website.

Bloom Chocolate Salon

If you want to enjoy even more chocolate, dine at the new Bloom Chocolate Salon. The dessert restaurant features seasonal menus with sweet and savory breakfast items and prix-fixe afternoon desserts with chocolate, tea service, and ice cream. The Blood Salon opens daily from 9am to 6pm.
