Day Drinking into the Night at Seminyak, Bali

Where to drink, eat, and have a good time in Seminyak

Partaking in Bali’s social scene means exploring Seminyak – a destination for travelers and locals to enjoy a casual drink and the Bali vibes. Here is my tried and tested (with a harsh hangover that followed) drinking guide for Seminyak, Bali:

Drinks and a Light Lunch

Drinking in Seminyak can start as early as you like. If you plan to start your day drinking at lunch, head to The Bistrot for creative cocktails and quality dishes. The menu offers a selection of Asian and international flavors for both food and drinks.

Upstairs in The Bistrot. The design brings together industrial and rustic inside to contrast the tropical setting of Seminyak, Bali. This is a great starting point to relax and have a first drink and a light bite to eat
Bali Baby. With kaffir, spiced rum, baby coconut, lemongrass, salak, and honey. Served in a whole baby coconut, bringing together iconic Bali flavors. The description alone makes you feel the need to order this drink to start your day drinking in Bali
Vietnamese Salad. With marinated beef, fried spring rolls, glass noodles, mixed vegetables, peanuts, and nuoc cham sauce. Perfect for as a starter or for a light meal. The brightness of the dressing and the freshness of the vegetables balances the addition of beef and the fried roll

Bar Crawl Guide

Once you have a little food in your stomach, let the bar crawl begin! Notable bars for a cool, casual vibe include Char Char and Motel Mexicola. For bourbon lovers, stop by Single Malt along the way for premium choices of bourbons and whiskeys.

Sipping on drinks on the steps of Char Char. Walking by this place will draw you in when you see people sitting on these massive steps. The entrance along the right side of the building takes you back and up towards the restaurant where you can proceed to find a seat along the steps
Mexican party vibes at Motel Mexicola. For something completely different in Bali, head to Mexicola for margaritas, tacos, and more in this restaurant and bar that welcomes the chill, party crowd

Classic Beach Clubs

At the end of your crawl, end up at one or more of Seminyak’s famous beach clubs, like Mrs. Sippy and Potato Head Beach Clubs. There you can have more to eat, more to drink, and cool down in the pool all at the same time.

Mrs. Sippy Beach Club. A beach club that draws in a relaxed crowd of locals and travelers in a smaller-scale, yet trendy atmosphere with ample tables, chairs, and a large pool to dip in during the day and through the night
Potato Head Beach Club. The most sought after beach club in Seminyak and in Bali. The club draws in travelers from morning to night for meals and to swim in the pool by the beach. This is a great spot for relax and enjoy the chill Bali nights

Last stop of the night

If you still want more, head to La Favela after the beach clubs and bars have closed. The restaurant and bar open at 5pm, but livens up when the crowds fill up the space later in the night through the early morning.

The entrance to La Favela almost hidden with the greenery and jungle-like exterior. Once you enter, you will be greeted with a whole new scene in this rustic jungle and feel yourself escape from the outside world of Seminyak
