Opera Bar

Drinks with a view, and not just any view but Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and the cityscape along the water. Plus, the drinks are actually good for a tourist location.

Pubs and Taverns along George Street

For a sip of history, check out the oldest bar in Sydney that opened in 1828.

Sydney Fish Market

If you love food and food halls, this is the place to go. Go around the market, buy seasonal seafood, grab a bottle of wine at the wine shop in the center, find a table, and enjoy life.

If you like tequila-based cocktails, this is your place. Landing on the World’s Best Bar list, this place makes you feel like a welcomed regular even if it’s your first visit.

Old Mate’s Place

For a cool little rooftop drink in the city, head up the stairs of Old Mate’s Place for a drink and some bar bites.

The Baxter Inn

If whisky is your thing, enter the green door, go down the elevator, and enter a shady door with alcohol signs at the hint that it’s a bar. Baxter Inn makes excellent whisky-based cocktails.

PS40

For some really really fun drinks, taste the menu of PS40. The Africola is a must.

Maybe Sammy

Rated Sydney’s best bar according to the World’s Best Bar list, the service may seem stiff but if you order the Martini Trolley with the trolley, it will greatly liven and loosen things up.

Long Chim

For Thai-based cocktails paired with amazing Thai food, David Thompson’s Long Chim is a must.
