Travel Insider Tips for How to Save Money in Asia

How to Save Money When Traveling in Asia.

It’s a great feeling to save money wherever you can when traveling. The most significant savings come from flight deals and hotel discounts. Here are two insider tips for how to save money on your next trip in Asia:

Agoda

There are so many hotel booking sites out there offering amazing promotions for hotels all around the world. Some offer better deals than others and some also are more prominent in certain areas around the world. For instance, for travel in Europe most travelers use Booking.com. For Asia, Agoda is the most popular booking site for hotels with the best deals.

Note, however, if are booking at a hotel where you have a membership to their points program, it is recommended to book directly on that hotel’s website so you can continue to earn points for future reward nights. Be sure to check the hotel’s offers page on their website to see if there are seasonal promotions.

TripAdvisor

If you want to compare rates of hotel booking sites, TripAdvisor offers that convenience. Simply input your dates and the website will show a comparison on that particular hotel’s review page.

Klook

Aside from hotel deals on Agoda or TripAdvisor, you can also save money by smarting bookings for transportation tickets, tours, amusement parks, and even a hired car and driver.

The most legitimate source for all that in Asia is through Klook.

Klook has established itself as the website for promotions for JR Passes in Japan and amusement park tickets for Hong Kong Disneyland or Universal Studios in Osaka and Singapore. You can even book day trips and food tours as well as arrange for an airport transportation van to pick you up at the airport and drive you directly to your hotel.
