If you want to explore dining choices outside of the InterContinental Samui and stay nearby by at the same time, you have two excellent choices of restaurants along Taling Ngam Beach which you can either walk to or get to by shuttle.
Just footsteps away from the InterContinental Samui is a resort catering to those who prefer smaller, boutique accommodations. The Sunset Beach Resort is an affordable, non-branded villa-like hotel that welcomes visitors to enjoy their facilities.
You can enter the resort from the main entrance on the road or from the beach. First, find the older ladies offering Thai massages on the beach, and then the entrance of the resort is right there next to them.
The resort offers the main restaurant and a pool terrace serving Thai and Western cuisines. Another incentive to dine here is the cheaper prices compared to the InterContinental.
If you want to venture out farther from the resort, The Island View Restaurant on the other end of Taling Ngam Beach offers a shuttle service to and from the nearby resorts. Simply call the restaurant to arrange for the service (the number is listed below).
The restaurant serves an extensive menu of Thai and Western dishes for all day dining. Additionally, guests can enjoy the sun beds as well as Thai massage services on the beach.
