A Look at The Peninsula Tokyo Breakfast

All About The Peninsula Tokyo Breakfast

The Peninsula Tokyo Breakfast is one of the best ways to start your day in Japan. Here is a look inside the breakfast served in both The Lobby and In-Room Dining:

Breakfast at The Peninsula Tokyo

At The Peninsula Tokyo you can have breakfast in either The Lobby or as In-Room Dining. Rather than the usual breakfast buffet, The Lobby features a menu of breakfast sets or a la carte selections. In-Room Dining offers to same sets and dishes.

Breakfast sets include a vegetarian option, a complete Western breakfast of fruits, pastries, and eggs, a Chinese set of dim sum, congee and noodles, and a Japanese set with a broiled fish, miso soup, rice, and condiments. All full breakfast sets are 4,400 yen. (Note that the hotel offers special packages during the year including breakfast with your nightly rate.)

Alternatively, you can have lighter options or different flavors from the a la carte menu including cereals, savory and sweet Western breakfast dishes, and fruits, like the most incredible local muskmelons.

The Lobby is a good breakfast venue if you are dining with other hotel guests or meeting with outside visitors. If not, In-Room Dining for breakfast is the best way to start the day in Tokyo.

Because the menus of breakfast are exactly the same from The Lobby, opt for room service to dine with this incredible morning view from your room. Plus, the table is gorgeously set as though you are in a restaurant and, best of all, you can enjoy quiet privacy to start the day

When in Japan, try the Japanese Breakfast Set. The set includes the broiled fish of the day, likely salmon, miso soup, a generous serving of rice, and an assortment of little bites to each with the rice. This is a healthy and hearty breakfast that should be experienced at least once.

If the breakfast sets are overwhelmingly too much food, you can also choose from a variety of savory and sweet dishes – like pancakes, a bagel with avocado and smoked salmon, a gorgeous avocado toast with an onsen egg, or even slices of amazing local Shizuoka muskmelons.

While your breakfast may include coffee or tea, also note that your room has an impressive Lavazza coffee machine with complimentary pods for espresso, coffee, and decaffeinated coffee. There are also Peninsula blends of teas of Western, Asian, and Japanese origins.
