About Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong Airport Transfer Service

Booking Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong Airport Transfer Service.

There are multiple ways to get from Hong Kong’s airport into the city. For the easiest and most luxurious way for guests of the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, book the hotel’s airport van or sedan. Compared to other luxury hotels around the world, the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong Airport Transfer Service ranks as one of the best, if not, the best. And here is why:

The Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong Difference

When you typically arrange for hotel airport transfer service, you can readily expect a meet and greet service out at the arrivals hall of the airport after you collect your luggage. Then, the service includes the car ride to the hotel.

With the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, you pay the same rate (and even less than some other luxury hotels) and receive above and beyond.

Airport Transfer Service for Arrivals

For arrivals, an airport staff will greet you upon your exit from the airplane. If the distance between the gate and immigration is far, you will have a complimentary ride in the airport buggy.

After you pass through Immigration, your airport greeter will then assist you to collect your luggage from Baggage Claim. If you have multiple pieces, a porter will add additional assistance. Once enter the Arrivals Halls, you will then meet a member of the hotel’s airport staff who then escorts you to your sedan or van.

In the car, you will have a cold towel, Evian, mints, newspapers, and free Wi-Fi. You can even order room service from your driver, so the food arrives just as you check-in to your hotel room or suite. Once out of the airport, you can expect to get to the hotel in about 35+ minutes.

Upon your arrival in the driveway, you will then be greeted by a front desk staff who will take you straight to your room to process your check-in.

Airport Transfer Service for Departures

With other luxury hotels, departure transfer service just typically includes the ride to the airport and placing your luggage on an airport trolley for you to make your way into the airport.

With the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong departures, the process begins in the room just prior to check-out. First, call the baggage desk for porter assistance with your luggage. Once he takes your luggage down to the lobby, you can also proceed to the Front Desk to settle your bill.

After payment, you will then get escorted to your sedan or van which is already loaded with your luggage. The drive also takes about 35+ minutes to the airport.

Once at the airport, a hotel airport staff will assist you with your luggage and escort you to your check-in counter. He assists you the whole way through the check-in process including handling your luggage onto the check-in conveyor belt. After you receive your boarding pass, he will accompany you to the entrance of the security line. Talk about excellent service.

Current Rates

Currently, the rate each way for a Mercedes Benz sedan is 1300HKD ($165USD) and a Mercedes Benz van is 1500HKD ($190USD). Reservations must be arranged in advance through the hotel’s concierge.

Note that tipping in Hong Kong is not mandatory but graciously accepted, especially when patronizing luxury hotels. If the service is friendly and satisfactory, you should tip the hotel airport staff, drivers, and porters.
