B-Mobile now offers its customers 2 new different pre-paid data SIM cards and an updated delivery method for hotel deliveries. Here is the latest information for the best Japan Tourist SIM Card for travelers:
2 New Updated Visitor SIM Cards from B-Mobile:
– 5GB for 10 days for 1980 yen (about $18 USD)
– 7 GB for 21 days for 2970 yen (about $27 USD)
How to Purchase:
– Convenient online purchase from the B-Mobile website.
– You can also find B-Mobile and other tourist SIM cards at major retail shops like BIC and Yodobashi.
Delivery Notes:
– Pick up at major airport post offices for an added 370 yen delivery fee. Must present your passport upon pick up
– Directly delivery to your hotel. Place order under your hotel reservation name and provide hotel address/telephone number
– 2 to 3 days hotel delivery time for most major cities, allow more time for farther destinations like Okinawa. Pay an extra 520 yen for the delivery fee
– IMPORTANT: When placing an order, the format is now for SHIPMENT DATE and not the delivery date. Make sure you make the Shipment Date 2 to 3 days before your arrival date at your Japan hotel. This is a crucial difference that can delay the arrival of your SIM Card.
Fine Print Notes:
– If you run out of data, you can add 1GB/day for 500 yen
– Pre-paid data only, no talk/text
– Unlocked devices only
– The pack comes as a multi-cut SIM with nano, micro, and standard sizes
– Service starts from the next day from your first use
– Once the order is completed, no cancellations or refunds
Bottomline: B-Mobile is the largest and oldest travel SIM card company in Japan proving its reliability to travelers. The company offers an English-friendly website and English support as well as a convenient online ordering method. While data speeds are slightly slower compared to its competitors, its generous GBs at more affordable prices plus delivery options directly to your hotel are B-Mobile’s winning factors.
