Travel Electronics: Gift Guide for Travel Lovers

Travel Electronics: ‘Tis the season for holiday shopping!

The holidays are in full effect as the weather has gotten colder and the Christmas lights are shining brighter. It is time to start shopping for your travel-loving family and friends. Here are some of my favorite and reliable travel electronics for any trip:

Bose QuietComfort 20 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones, $199.00 USD

When it comes to speakers and headphones, Bose is my brand. The quality of the products and the depth of the sound justify the higher pricing.

Earbuds are my preference for headphones because 1) the feel is lighter on my head compared to regular headphones, 2) the design does not mess up my hair, and 3) the design also does not get in the way of my glasses (which I always wear for long-haul flights).

These Bose headphones are worth the price for its comfort and that it is truly noise cancelling. Plus, there is an “aware mode” which at the press of a button you can hear your surroundings. This feature is so convenient when it comes time to choosing your food and drink during the flight.

Kindle E-reader, $49.99 USD

Flying is the best time to catch up on reading. The latest Kindle E-reader is now even thinner and lighter, and it reads like real paper.

Additionally, the glare-free touchscreen display allows you to read in bright light environments. If you use your phone or iPad under the sun, the brightness of the screen cannot compete with the brightness of the sun. Plus, your device starts to overheat. With this Kindle E-reader, you can now easily read your books by the pool and beach.

Fire TV with Alexa Voice Remote, $29.99 USD

When you are away from home for more than a week, you start to fall behind on your favorite shows. Amazon’s latest Fire TV is so small and portable, you can the device with you and catch up on your shows at your convenience during your trip.

The streaming media player works like an Apple TV or Google Chromecast. You can watch Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video, and cable and network channel apps.

Plug the device into the HDMI of the television, connect it to Wi-Fi, and you are set! (If you run into difficulty, search for some YouTube videos which can show you how it is done step by step.)

Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II, $679.00 USD

For fellow inspiring YouTubers, this camera is for you. The flip screen is invaluable when you are talking to the camera. You can see if the video is focused and see your body’s composition within the frame. Plus, the touchscreen feature helps you to re-focus while recording.

This latest Canon also has an excellent low-light quality which is ideal for indoor and evening footage. The high quality of the video inspires you to create even better videos for your YouTube subscribers.

Apple iPad Air 2, $369.49 USD

For weekend getaways and short trips, laptops are not always necessary. But, you still might require more than just your phone for work or leisurely use. The tablet is perfect for reading the news and researching what to do in a city.

Apple’s iPad Air 2 is the way to go because of its lightness, sleek design, and the fact that it is a quality Apple product.

Apple MacBook, $1,279.00 USD

For longer trips, a laptop is necessary to keep up with work and for heavier research while in your destination. But, bringing a bulky laptop creates a heavy burden on your shoulders.

The new Apple MacBook is even lighter than the MacBook Air. It is the ideal laptop for frequent travelers and my absolute essential travel electronic for every trip.
