There are plenty of areas and El Nido restaurants where you can potentially grab a bite. If you want a good, decent meal in a nice area, head over to Lio Beach and taste some of islands better places for food and drink.

 

Best Meals at the Beach

A dinner with grilled seafood is a must when vacationing at the beach. If you ask the locals in Lio Beach, they will all tell you to have dinner at El Nido Grill. And they are right. El Nido Grill is the best dinner on the beach with its Filipino cuisine specializing in grilled dishes like pork belly and squid.

Sharing is caring. Filipino food means dining family style. Get a few dishes plus an order of rice per person and feast together! Be sure to order the pinakbet which is a locally prepared vegetable dish made with squash, green beans, eggplant, and okra cooked in shrimp paste.

Best Light Lunch/Mid-Day Snack at the Beach

If you’re looking for a light lunch or a mid-day snack, head to the popular Shaka Cafe for their signature smoothie bowls as well as healthy lunch plates. Balance the lifestyle meal with a Filipino brew! The cafe also offers crafts beers by the bottle.

Cloud 9 smoothie bowl featuring peanut butter and cacao nibs. This is a great mid-day energy booster complete with protein from the peanuts. There are also classic acai bowls as well as smoothie drinks.

Best Drinks at the Beach

It’s a vacation – unwind and have some drinks! Start at Manila Beach Bar with their delicious Manille Basil Smash. Nibble on bar snacks or have dinner at El Nido Grill. And then have a nightcap in Jungle Bar.

Jungle Bar stays open the latest on Lio Beach and is also the most popular drinking spot because of it’s great drinks and cool decor. If you’re hungry, the kitchen also offers tasty bar snacks.

Don’t miss out on the calamansi jam! You’re like to see if at your hotel’s breakfast buffet spread next to the bread station. This is like the local Filipino marmalade. It’s so good! It’s a vacation, you can enjoy carbs. So toast a slice of bread and slather on this calamansi jam.
