High-End Thai Cuisine at Thiptara

Thailand offers a range of Thai cuisine for every budget, from cheap street eats to high-end fine dining. For a memorable high-end Thai feast, dine at Thiptara at The Peninsula Bangkok where you sit along the Chao Phraya River as the lights shimmer on the water and the city lights sparkle up the evening.

Dining by the Chao Phraya River

Dining by the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok is an absolute privilege and luxury, especially when you can dine on high-quality cuisine like that served at the restaurants of The Peninsula Bangkok. Because this is such an experience, you must include it in your things to do when visiting Thailand’s capital.

Welcome to Thiptara at The Peninsula Bangkok. The hotel’s Thai restaurant opens for dinner only to savor the beauty of the Chao Phraya river at night. Dine on high-quality Thai cuisine while watching the boats on the water and the city lights
You can dine right by the river or under the open-air huts for more privacy which is ideal couples or larger groups. If rain and rainy season dampens the evening, you can still enjoy dinner in the huts as well

Thai Set Menu at Thiptara

You can choose between two set menus for your Thai dinner (which you can choose per person and not necessarily of the whole table). The dinner menu comes with 9 dishes inclusive of a soup, 4 appetizers, 3 main course dishes, and a dessert. The dishes come as a bite or as a hearty tasting serving. All of this for about 1,800 baht or $50 USD, which is well-worth it for the quantity and quality.

After a hot bowl of soup that starts your set meal, you then get your first round of courses in the form of three appetizers: Pomelo Salad, Satay with sauce and cucumber salad, and a Fried Pouch that mimics a fried roll
Then comes your round of main courses in the form of four dishes: Fried Seabass, Scallops, Red Duck Curry, and Seasonal Vegetables. The main course platter comes with unlimited scoops of steamed rice
And, of course, you set menu ends with a classic Thai dessert: Mango Sticky Rice. The hotel has an incredible source of the sweetest Thai mangos along with this high-quality sticky rice and coconut milk. A perfect ending to this hearty Thai dinner
