Modern International Luxury Ryokan

The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto introduced the concept of a modern international luxury ryokan to the city in February 2014.

Along the Kamogawa River with spectacular views of the Higashiyama mountains, the property is truly a peaceful sanctuary.

The hotel has its quiet privacy, and yet it is located just minutes away from major attractions, like downtown Kyoto, Gion, and Kawaramachi-dori for sightseeing, eating, and shopping.

Japanese architecture, subtle touches, natural materials, and zen luxury are all brought together.

Guests enjoy modern technology while taking in the views of the river and hotel gardens.  The property further embraces the surroundings by providing bikes for rent and bike tours twice a week.

And as a daily temptation, guests are lured with the Pierre Hermé dessert shop for cakes and macarons.
