8 Things You Must Taste at Marlowe.

Marlowe in San Francisco’s SoMa district (which now actually sits in the Mission Bay district) is one of the city’s quintessential spots for a taste of California. Here are the 8 must-order menu items to taste at Marlowe:

1. Crispy Brussels Sprout Chips

Crispy brussels sprout chips seasoned with lemon and sea salt. This has become a standard Marlowe appetizer because of the charred, crispy, crunch of each brussels sprout leaf in the cup that pairs so perfectly with your first drink.

2. Warm Deviled Egg

Warm deviled egg with aged provolone cheese, pickled jalapeño, and bacon. Every element creates the perfect deviled egg bite with the smokiness of the bacon, zing of the jalapeño, and creamy umaminess of the egg and cheese.

3. Tempura Green Beans

Tempura green beans with french onion dip. Marlowe excels in fried vegetables. It may not be the healthiest way to have your vegetables, but it is so incredibly delicious. These tempura green beans are another must-order and great for sharing with the table

4. Roasted Bone Marrow

Roasted bone marrow with salsa verde and fines herbes. For a little indulgence, this bone marrow hits the spot with the salsa verde brightening and contrasting the fats of the marrow. Served with slices of grilled bread.

5. Marlowe Burger

Marlowe burger with caramelized onions, cheddar, and bacon with a side of horseradish aioli and served fries. This is the signature dish at Marlowe and the restaurant’s claim to fame. If you love a burger, you must order this. You can request for it to be cut in half or quarters.

6. Marlowe Fries

Marlowe fries with horseradish aioli. If you do not want to order the burger, you must at least get a side order of the fries with horseradish aioli. The fries are well-fried and crispy with a great creamy brightness from the house aioli.

7. Loretta’s Vacherin

Loretta’s Vacherin with coffee ice cream, meringue, toasted almond, and chocolate sauce. Named after Coco500 chef, Loretta Keller (the restaurant space’s previous owner), this features her signature dessert which has French roots with meringue and ice cream as the stars. You can also request to have the sauces on the side.

8. Chocolate Peanut Butter Bites

Chocolate peanut butter bites with Guittard chocolate and peanuts. A perfect ending for chocolate fans. This is like sophisticated cubes of chocolate peanut crunch bars, and they are great to nibble and share with the table at the end of the meal.

Plus! Drinks!

Marlowe also has an excellent beverage program with craft cocktails, beers, wines, and even non-alcoholic cocktails. You must have at least one drink with dining at Marlowe. Cheers!
